In a stackable LFP home battery, the master controller plays a crucial role in managing the battery system. Its main responsibility is to coordinate and control the various battery modules included in the stack. Here are the key tasks and functions of the master controller:

Efficient Energy Management: The master controller ensures optimal distribution of energy between the various battery modules so that the system is always operating at maximum efficiency.

Reliable Performance: Through continuous monitoring and adjustment, the master controller ensures that each module operates within safe operational parameters.

Durability: By managing charge and discharge cycles, the master controller maximizes the life of the battery modules.

Communication: The master controller acts as a communication hub between the battery modules and other energy management systems, ensuring seamless integration and operation of the entire energy system.

Full Redundancy: Flexvolt battery modules are fully redundant.
If the master controller fails, full functionality is automatically taken over by a battery unit, keeping the system running without interruption.

BATTERY MANAGEMENT

Management of Battery Modules: The master controller ensures that all individual battery modules in the stack are treated evenly during the charging and discharging process. This means that each module receives the correct amount of energy and that the load is distributed evenly.

This is essential to prevent some modules from overloading, which can shorten battery life.

The master controller communicates with other energy systems in the home, such as inverters and energy management systems. Through this communication, the master controller can regulate and optimize energy flows. For example, it can provide information to the inverter about the available battery charge or to the energy management system about peak energy usage hours, thereby optimizing the energy use of the entire system.
